Review: Vaseline Spray Moisturiser

November 9, 2016

Hello favs,

Remember when I promised you guys a review on the Vaseline Intensive Care spray moisturisers?! Well, if you have been waiting in anticipation for it you will be glad to know that it is finally here. I love doing beauty reviews because I get a chance to share with you guys what new products are currently in the market, how much they cost and most importantly whether they are worth your buck or not. If you follow me on any of my social media platforms, you will know that I have been using the sprays for about a month or so now. I was specifically drawn to them for their quick and convenient absorption. We all know that long applications can be an inconvenience at time. Especially on those days when you need to dash out of the house, the thought of waiting for your moisturiser to dry is enough to discourage you from applying lotion all together. And for someone like me with dry skin, not moisturising after a shower is not an option. Therefore, I am force to find quicker alternative to my moisturising route. Which is how I came across the Vaseline Spray Moisturisers.

They come in three different formulas that come with their own unique scents, which are:

DEEP RESTORE – which promises to leave your skin feeling healthy and restored. This is great because after the harsh winter temperatures, you need a moisturizer that will not only condition your skin but also repair and soften – leaving your skin ready for summer. This is non-greasy, easy to apply and moisturising!

ALOE SOOTHE – it contains pure aloe leaving the skin feeling soothed and refreshed, which is essential for those hot summer days. I read up quite a bit on aloe – it has healing properties, obviously great for damaged skin. It also hydrates and rejuvenates the skin and give it an alrounder healthier look and feel.

COCOA RADIANT – it contains pure cocoa butter for healthy glowing skin. This is my personal favourite mainly because I love the smell off cocoa but also this spray has a rich, creamy formulation without the greasy feel. It nourishes the skin, leaving it soft and smooth. I keep the Cocoa Radiant in my handbag and I use throughout the day, whenever I feel my skin requires some hydration.

Now the question is, would I recommend the Vaseline Intensive Care sprays moisturisers? Absolutely!!! They are cost effective and they get the job done, they are easily accessible because they are available at most major retailers and beauty stores. They come in a 190 ml bottle, which can last for quite a while. And my fav, they are non-sticky and quick to absorb into your skin!!! Each bottle retails for about R89,99.

However, like with any other moisturiser – I always advice my readers to wear sunscreen to protect your skin from harsh sun rays that can damage your skin. Also, remember to drinks tons of water to keep your skin hydrated and rejuvinated. Another important tip to add onto your skin regimen is exfoliation, it removes dead skin. Dead skin can leave your skin looking dull and unnourished. Also with all the dead skin gone, you moisturiser absorbs even better into your skin.

I’ve added a video below to illustrate how to best apply the spray:

I love hearing from you guys, so do leave me a comment below and let me know what you guys think!
